The short answer

Pet relocation from Mumbai to Bengaluru takes about 1 hour 45 minutes by air or 24 hours by escorted train, and typically costs ₹22,000–₹40,000 door-to-door. Both cities are pet-friendly to move from, making this one of the easiest corridors in India.

Dog transport from Mumbai to Bangalore

At 980 km and about 1 hour 45 minutes in the air, this is one of the gentlest introductions to flying a dog gets in India. Crate time is short and Bengaluru imposes no arrival restriction, so the whole scheduling question reduces to getting out of Mumbai. Giant breeds are the exception. For a Great Dane or Saint Bernard we usually recommend the 18–22 hour road van instead.

Cat relocation from Mumbai to Bangalore

Cat relocation on this corridor is quick and cheap by long-haul standards. BOM's sector density gives real choice of departure time, and the short flight means a cat is out of its crate the same morning. Multi-cat households are worth discussing: three cats means three crates and three freight charges by air, and one vehicle by road.

Which service you need

Door-to-door or airport-to-airport?

The difference is who does the driving and the paperwork. Here is what each means on Mumbai to Bangalore specifically.

Most people book this

Door-to-door pet relocation

We collect from Bandra, Powai, Thane or Navi Mumbai, work around your building's goods-lift window, drive to Sahar, and deliver at the Bengaluru end. Since the lift slot frequently dictates the whole Mumbai schedule, having one team own both the building and the terminal is what keeps this on time.

Airport-to-airport pet transport

You deliver to the Sahar cargo terminal and collect at BLR. It saves ₹4,000–₹7,000 and puts the Mumbai traffic risk on you against a fixed acceptance deadline. Of all our corridors this is the one where that trade goes wrong most often.

What to watch out for on the Mumbai to Bangalore route

Generic advice gets pets stuck at counters. These are the things that actually bite on this corridor.

  1. The goods lift decides your departure time

Most Mumbai societies restrict service-lift use to set hours and some ban it during morning peak entirely. We confirm the window a day ahead and build the pickup around it, because a loaded crate does not go down a narrow residential stairwell safely.

  2. Monsoon dates are provisional dates

Between June and September this corridor's Mumbai end cancels at a few hours' notice, and the Sahar approach roads flood before the rest of the city. Every monsoon booking carries a contingency date.

  3. Ask about road if your dog is very large

A giant-breed crate's volumetric weight makes air freight expensive and some narrow-body holds will not take it at all. The 18–22 hour van with an overnight halt is often the more practical answer, and your dog stays with one handler throughout.

Snub-nosed breeds on the Mumbai to Bangalore route

The short sector helps, and Bengaluru's arrival end is genuinely fine year-round. So this is one of the few corridors where a snub-nosed dog can reasonably fly, outside the March-to-May humidity window at the Mumbai end. We still assess the individual animal rather than the breed alone, and we still will not book a mid-day hold.

Best time to move a pet from Mumbai to Bangalore

A corridor has two ends, and both of them have weather. These are the windows that actually close.

  • June to September

What bites: Mumbai's monsoon. Sectors cancel at short notice and the Andheri and Sahar approach roads flood before the rest of the city does.

What we do: Contingency date on every move, and we leave for the airport earlier than the traffic alone would justify.

  • March to May

What bites: Mumbai humidity rather than heat. Bengaluru's arrival end stays fine year-round, so again only one end needs solving.

What we do: Morning departures, and no mid-day hold bookings for snub-nosed breeds regardless of the thermometer.

Why us

Why Aigan for Mumbai to Bangalore pet transport

Three things that are true on this corridor specifically, not three things every pet transport company in India claims.

01

We build 100 minutes of drive buffer in Mumbai, more than any other city we operate in, because Worli to Sahar is 40 minutes at 5am and two hours at 6pm.

02

Honest about giant breeds: we will recommend the road van over a flight when the crate size makes flying the worse journey.

03

Both ends are easy cities to arrive into, which is why we suggest this corridor for a dog that has never flown before.
