The difference is who does the driving and the paperwork. Here is what each means on Bangalore to Hyderabad specifically.
Whether by road or air, we collect from your Bengaluru address and deliver to your Hyderabad one. On the road option that is the entire journey. One handler, one vehicle, no handover at all, which is a materially different experience from a cargo move.
You deliver to Menzies Bobba at BLR and collect at the GMR terminal at Shamshabad. It saves ₹4,000–₹6,000, and HYD is the best-run cargo terminal in our network, so of all our corridors this is where airport-to-airport is most defensible.
Generic advice gets pets stuck at counters. These are the things that actually bite on this corridor.
The flight looks faster until you add four hours of acceptance, the crate handover and the collection. Door to door the gap is much smaller than the flight time suggests, and for most dogs the van wins on comfort as well as cost.
The mid-day stretch through northern Karnataka and Telangana gets genuinely hot from April to June. An overnight run means your pet sleeps through most of it and steps out into a mild Hyderabad morning rather than a 40°C afternoon.
This is one of the best corridors for moving a multi-pet household together, and it changes the recommendation. Three animals by air is three of everything; three animals by road is one van and one journey.
Take the road van. Ten hours at ground level in air conditioning with three break stops is unambiguously better for a Pug, Bulldog or Persian cat than a hold, and on this corridor it is also cheaper. Overnight departures avoid the April-to-June heat entirely. There is no scenario where we would recommend flying a snub-nosed animal on this route.

BLR sits about 40 km north of the city. A pickup in HSR or Electronic City needs 90 minutes of buffer before we even join the airport road.

Local quarantine station, so export certification does not route through Chennai or Bengaluru. Useful given how much US-bound volume moves from here.
