The short answer

Aigan relocates pets from Hyderabad and Secunderabad across India and abroad, with air departures from Rajiv Gandhi International (HYD) and escorted rail from Secunderabad Junction. Doorstep pickup covers Gachibowli, HITEC City, Banjara Hills and the ORR corridor. Domestic moves from Hyderabad typically run ₹15,000–₹44,000 door to door.

What makes pet relocation from Hyderabad different?

  • HYD is the best-run cargo terminal we use. Live-animal acceptance timings here are predictable in a way they are not at every Indian airport.
  • The Outer Ring Road makes airport runs unusually reliable. A Gachibowli pickup is a genuine 45 minutes, not an optimistic one.
  • Very strong US and Gulf outbound demand, which means titre timelines are the thing to start early on here.

Dog transportation services in Hyderabad

Dog transportation from Hyderabad is the most predictable in our network, because the GMR cargo terminal actually runs to schedule and the Outer Ring Road means a Gachibowli pickup takes the 45 minutes we quoted. Large dogs fly out of HYD routinely. Between April and June departures move to night slots, which costs less choice here than elsewhere because HYD's overnight cargo schedule is strong.

How dog relocation works

Cat relocation services in Hyderabad

Cat relocation from Hyderabad is a high-volume job for us, largely because of the city's US-bound traffic: cats are the easier animal to take abroad and Hyderabad families take a lot of them. Short southern sectors to Bengaluru and Chennai are over in a morning. Persian and Himalayan owners should expect the same brachycephalic caution applied to flat-faced dogs.

How pets travel from Hyderabad: air, train and road

We pick the mode for your pet's breed, size, age and the season, not for our convenience. Here is what each one actually looks like from Hyderabad.

Pet transport from Hyderabad by air (HYD)

The GMR Air Cargo Terminal at Shamshabad accepts live animals 4 hours before departure and is, in our direct experience, the best-run in the country. Crates are handled properly and timings hold. That reliability is why we quote a 75-minute buffer here and mean it.

Air transport in detail

Pet transport from Hyderabad by train

Escorted rail from Secunderabad Junction has stronger long-haul connectivity than most people expect, so the destinations that work by train from Hyderabad are wider than the map suggests. A full first-class coupé is booked for your pet's exclusive use.

Train transport in detail

Pet transport from Hyderabad by road

Dedicated vans run to Bengaluru, where road beats air outright on a ten-hour overnight run, and to Chennai, Pune, Nagpur and across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Which service you need

Door-to-door or airport-to-airport?

Two ways to buy a pet relocation, and the difference is who does the driving and the paperwork. Here is what each one means in Hyderabad specifically.

Most people book this

Door-to-door pet relocation

A handler collects from Gachibowli, HITEC City, Banjara Hills or the ORR corridor, crates at home, and drives to the GMR terminal at Shamshabad. The ORR makes this unusually predictable. When we say the pickup is 75 minutes before the acceptance window, it is 75 minutes, which is not something we can promise in Mumbai or NCR.

Airport-to-airport pet transport

You take your pet to the GMR cargo terminal and collect at the far end. It saves ₹4,000–₹7,000, and of all our cities this is where it is most defensible: HYD's terminal is well run, the timings hold, and the drive is reliable. If you are going to do airport-to-airport anywhere, do it here.

International pet relocation from Hyderabad

Hyderabad has its own AQCS station, which matters given how much US and Gulf volume leaves from here. Several local clinics are genuinely fluent in rabies titre sampling and the USDA endorsement chain, and we route clients to them. For the US, start six months out. India is classified high-risk for dog rabies by the CDC, so serology, waiting periods and the CDC Dog Import Form all apply.

Nothing here is optional, and nothing here is quick. This is the chain, and where Hyderabad sits in it.

Documentation & NOC in full
Documents required to relocate a pet from Hyderabad

Fitness-to-fly certificateWithin 10 days of travelBoth

The order matters more than the list. A titre test drawn before the microchip was fitted does not count, and redoing it costs three weeks.

What to be careful about when moving a pet from Hyderabad

Three things go wrong on Hyderabad moves more than anything else. None of them are difficult to avoid, and all of them are easier to fix three weeks out than three days out.

  1. Start the US timeline before you book anything else

The first step is not the flight, it is the microchip and rabies vaccination, because the titre blood draw only counts after both. Hyderabad sends more pets to the US than almost any Indian city and this is where those moves go wrong. Late, not badly executed.

  2. Summer means night departures, and that is fine here

April to June pushes ground temperatures past the live-animal ceiling through the middle of the day. HYD's overnight cargo schedule is good enough that shifting to night costs you far less flexibility than the same shift would in Delhi.

  3. Confirm parking in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills

Those are largely independent houses, which is simpler for lift access but means the lanes will not take a van parked badly for twenty minutes. We check before the day rather than blocking your neighbour's gate.

Snub-nosed breeds: Pugs, Bulldogs, Shih Tzus and Persian cats

Between April and June, HYD's daytime ground temperatures rule out snub-nosed breeds entirely. The saving grace is that Hyderabad has a strong overnight cargo schedule, so a night departure is a real option rather than a theoretical one. Which means a Pug or Persian can often still fly from here in summer when the same animal could not fly from Delhi or Ahmedabad.

Best time to move a pet from Hyderabad

Airlines stop accepting live animals above roughly 28–29°C on the ground. These are the windows that actually close in Hyderabad.

  • April to June

What bites: Peak summer pushes ground temperatures past the live-animal ceiling through the middle of the day.

What we do: Night departures become the default for these three months. HYD's overnight cargo schedule is good, so this costs less flexibility here than it does in Delhi.

  • July to September

What bites: Monsoon delays, though materially milder than Mumbai or Kochi.

What we do: We keep a contingency date but rarely need it. Most Hyderabad monsoon moves go on the day they were booked.

How it actually works here

Flying a pet out of HYD, in practice

The specifics we plan a Hyderabad move around. Generic advice is what gets pets turned away at counters.

Where your pet is handed over

GMR Air Cargo Terminal, Shamshabad. Live animals are accepted 4 hours before departure for manifest cargo.

The airport run

32 km from most addresses. We build 75 minutes of buffer into every pickup before the acceptance clock starts.

Quarantine office, on site

AQCS Hyderabad. Local quarantine station, so export certification does not route through Chennai or Bengaluru. Useful given how much US-bound volume moves from here.

Buildings, lifts and gates

The Gachibowli, Kondapur and Nanakramguda towers work much like Bengaluru's: a service-lift booking and a gate pass, raised a day ahead. Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills are largely independent houses, which is simpler for access but means we confirm parking, because those lanes will not take a van parked badly for twenty minutes.

Vets and health certificates

Hyderabad's US-bound volume means several local clinics are genuinely fluent in rabies titre sampling and the USDA-endorsement paperwork chain. That is a real advantage and we route clients to them.

If flying isn't right

Escorted rail departs from Secunderabad / Kacheguda. We recommend it for snub-nosed breeds, senior pets and anxious animals regardless of what is fastest.

Why us

Why Aigan for pet relocation in Hyderabad

Three things that are true here specifically, not three things every pet transport company in India claims.

01

We use the best-run cargo terminal in the country and quote buffers we can actually hold, because the ORR makes Hyderabad pickups genuinely predictable.

02

Local AQCS certification plus clinics fluent in titre sampling and USDA endorsement. The two things a US-bound move actually depends on.

03

Honest mode advice: on the Bengaluru corridor we recommend a road van over a flight, even though the flight is easier for us to arrange.

Frequently asked questions: pet relocation from Hyderabad

Domestic moves from Hyderabad run ₹15,000–₹44,000 door to door. Bengaluru and Chennai sit at the bottom of that band; Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati sit at the top. International relocation from HYD runs ₹85,000–₹4,50,000, and the US corridor, which is heavily used from this city, sits in the upper half because of titre and endorsement costs.
