Dog transportation from Delhi NCR is dictated by two weather windows rather than by distance: heat from April to July and fog from late December to January. A handler collects from South Delhi, Dwarka, Gurugram, Noida or Faridabad, crates your pet at home, clears the society gate and lift, and drives to the Celebi or AI-SATS terminal at DEL. Given that NCR addresses run 60–90 minutes from the airport depending on which of the five cities you are in, this is the option that makes a summer night departure workable at all.
You handle the run to the DEL cargo terminal and the acceptance window yourself. It saves ₹4,000–₹8,000. In practice very few NCR clients take it, because the pre-dawn and post-sunset slots that summer forces you into are exactly the times you do not want to be finding a cargo gate for the first time.

The volume cuts both ways: the team knows the process cold, but slots fill, so filing early buys more here than anywhere else in the country. AQCS Kapashera is India's busiest quarantine station, and its inspection is the strictest in the country. A mistranscribed microchip digit gets the certificate returned, which on a tight international timeline costs a week. Delhi has the deepest bench of vets who have written export certificates before, and we route clients to them for exactly that reason. Domestic moves need a fitness-to-fly certificate within 10 days and rabies inside 12 months.

The order matters more than the list. A titre test drawn before the microchip was fitted does not count, and redoing it costs three weeks.
Three things go wrong on Delhi moves more than anything else. None of them are difficult to avoid, and all of them are easier to fix three weeks out than three days out.
Between April and July, ground temperature at DEL crosses the live-animal ceiling for most of the day. Pre-dawn and post-sunset are not premium options, they are the only compliant windows. Plan the whole day around that rather than treating it as an inconvenience.
Delhi fog cancels early departures with very little notice, and a pet already accepted into cargo is the worst place to absorb it. We book late-morning sectors through the fog window and hold a contingency date on every winter move.
A Faridabad pickup and a Greater Noida pickup are ninety minutes apart in traffic. Get a pickup time quoted against your actual address and the expressway, not against a generic 'Delhi' figure.
Delhi is the hardest major city in India to fly a snub-nosed pet out of. Air India will not carry them in the hold at all, the carriers that will apply a lower temperature ceiling than for other breeds, and DEL breaches that ceiling for most of the day from April to July. For Pugs, Bulldogs and Persian cats we default to escorted rail from New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin and say so in the first conversation.

What bites: Ground temperatures at DEL regularly cross the 27–29°C ceiling airlines apply to live animals. Mid-day departures simply stop being available.
